Dr Sally Herring BA (Hons) DPsych (Clinical)

Sally Herring is a research psychologist, joining the MAPrc team in June 2006. Prior to coming to MAPrc, Sally completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Tasmania in 2000, and a Doctorate of Psychology (Clinical) at Monash University in 2007. Her doctoral thesis explored the impact of associated emotional and behavioural problems on children with autism and their families.
 
Since joining the MAPrc Brain Stimulation and Neuroscience team, Sally has worked on studies exploring TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST) and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in the treatment of depression, and tDCS (transcranial Direct Current Stimulation) in the treatment of symptoms of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
