Dr Sivakami Ilancheran

Psychopharmocology Team Coordinator at Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research  Centre.  Dr Sivakami Ilancheran's role is to support, conduct and co-ordinate drug-trial investigation studies in the area of mental health as well as managing  and supervising daily activities and  providing assistance to other activities of her team.
 
Sivakami started in her current position end of 2010 from previously working as a Business Development Associate for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and within the Industry Engagement and Commercialisation (IE&C) group and before that as a Research Officer and a Clinical Research Co-ordinator at Monash Medical Centre, also within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. She has had seven years of academic research experience with knowledge around intellectual property and building commercial relationships with industry partners in the biomedical arena.
 
Dr Ilancheran has her Bachelor of Science (with Hons) degree from Melbourne University and completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree, thesis entitled “Stem Cell Properties of Human Amniotic Epithelial Cells”, at Monash University in 2007.
