Emily Hayes
Emily is a Monash University medical student who has put the final year of her medical degree on hold to undertake a one-year Bachelor of Medical Science honours degree in 2011.
She is working with the Women's Mental Health Team at MAPrc under the supervision of Professor Jayashri Kulkarni, and she is currently investigating the possible relationship between the use of hormonal contraceptive medications and mood disturbances such as depression.
Emily has an interest in both the fields of women's health and psychiatry, and hopes to further pursue psychiatry in her post-graduate medical training.
