Research is the backbone of HER Centre Australia and we draw on diverse expertise from innovative neuroscientific studies to telehealth and the use of hormonal treatments in the clinic to improve mental health.

We will provide new clinical research approaches creating interventions and treatments that are tailored to the unique aspects of mental illness through a woman's lifespan.

Young Women
Young women often struggle with trauma-related disorders, deliberate self-harm, eating disorders, addictions, and post-puberty depression/anxiety.

Mature Women
In their mid-40s to mid-60s, many women experience menopause-related depression, anxiety, psychosis, and addictions – which are often missed or poorly treated.
Women in Childbearing Years
In their mid-20s to early 40s, many women experience mental ill health related to pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.
Older Women
In their older years, many women experience cognitive impairments (some with reversible causes), older onset depression and anxiety disorders, as well as loss and grief disorders.
