HER Centre Australia translates basic and clinical research conducted on site and in from research published in peer reviewed journals to inform clinical trials of potential new treatments and interventions that are likely to make a real difference to women experiencing mental illness. All clinical trials conducted at HER Centre Australia are consumer informed and approved by the Alfred Human Research and Ethics Committee. They are also conducted with participants in front of mind and all women in our trials are treated as collaborators not subjects. Over the last 30 years, our clinical trials have yielded results that have directly influenced clinical practice by doctors and clinicians working with women experiencing mental illness.
