Dr Tamsyn Van Rheenen awarded APS prize for excellent thesis in psychology

 Dr Tamsyn Van Rheenen has been awarded one of the prestigious and highly competitive 2014 Awards for an Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology from the Australian Psychological Society for her thesis entitled Thinking, Perceiving and Regulating Feeling: An Investigation of Neurocognition, Social Cognition and Emotion Regulation in Bipolar Disorder. 
 
This award acknowledges and rewards outstanding research by doctoral students in psychology. Tamsyn will receive a grant of $1000 and will be invited (and funded) to attend the APS’ annual conference to present her research. Tamsyn’s PhD was supervised by Professor Susan Rossell and Professor Greg Murray and resulted in 11 first-author publications. She has recently been awarded an NHMRC Peter Doherty Early Career Researcher Fellowship that will commence in 2015.
