MAPrc is the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre. Our mission is to carry out world-class psychiatry research with respect, equality and understanding.
In January 2012, MAPrc changed schools with in Monash University and is now part of Central Clinical School. MAPrc still remains part of The Alfred Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry.

More than a third of people afflicted by mental illness do not respond to conventional treatments. MAPrc is committed to developing new, innovative and effective new treatments for mental illnesses such as depression and schizophrenia.
